Affirmation of Liberation

OUR AFFIRMATION OF LIBERATION
One:	In the spirit of the Amistad Event, we claim our spiritual heritage as spiritual descendants. We are a free community of faith, called to witness to the liberating power of the Almighty One.
Many:	We affirm our freedom to be what God has called us to be.
One:	We acknowledge that freedom together.
Many:	Our minds are free from the dead things. We are able. We are good enough, smart enough, strong enough. We are *more* than enought!
One:	We are free from the fear that someone can stop us or harm us.
Many:	We are free from self-imposed limitations of age, color, gender, sexual orientation or social class.
One:	We are free to not let anything or anyone confine or define who we are. We are free to define ourselves.
All:	Our spirits are free to seek and search for God and the truths that will be found. We are free... we are free... WE ARE FREE!!!
